This is the journal of a female who belongs to a Man and knows her place, below Him. These principles of male-female relations have stood the test of time:
1) The purpose of woman is to serve, obey, and please Man.
2) Man's mastery over woman is the natural order.
3) Woman is the property of man and thus subservient to Male authority, desires, and needs.
4) It is Man's right to share and exchange his property with others, if he desires.
5) Woman's place is on her knees, before her Master.
6) Woman is most beautiful when serving Manly needs.
7) A Man's commanding presence compels woman's obedience.
8) It is Man's prerogative to keep his female without rights and to grant privileges only at his own discretion.

There is another kind of subjection which is called economic or civil, whereby the superior makes use of his subjects for their own benefit and good; and this kind of subjection existed even before sin. For good order would have been wanting in the human family if some were not governed by others wiser than themselves. So by such a kind of subjection woman is naturally subject to man, because in man the discretion of reason predominates.
